At the regional level, Siaja is known for her knowledge of Inuit culture, traditions and the Inuktitut language she strives to keep alive in Ivujivik and other Inuit communities.
As member of the co-management group of the Inuit teacher training programs of Puvirnituq and Ivujivik, she collaborates with the UQAT in the development and in the development of these programs centred on the preservation and the strengthening of the inuktitut language which meet the needs of teachers of both communities. As senior co-teacher, she participates in the preparation and in the dispensation of the courts in association with the UQAT professors and the lecturers . Her role is then to interpret the contents of the course in the educational context of Nunavik and to translate them in inuktitut there to favor their appropriation by the students in their mother tongue. This co-teacher's role is the mainspring of conservation and the development of the mother tongue.
